Die Aktion Babyhospital in Galle ist nur ein kleiner Ausschnitt aus dem Kaleidoskop des Schreckens und der Not, das sich im Gefolge der Naturkatastrophe in den betroffenen Ländern entwickelt hat.\n\nAm 31.
Dezember 2004 habe ich durch meine urlaubsbedingte Anwesenheit in Sri Lanka erstmals Kontakt zu den Verantwortlichen des Mahamodaahospital am Stadtrand von Galle gehabt. Die dramatischen Schilderungen über die Evakuierung und der eigene Augenschein der aktuell katastrophalen Behandlungssituation für hunderte von Frauen und Kindern hat mich dazu bewogen, die Aktion Babyhospital ins Leben zu rufen. Die amtierenden Governors 2004/2005 der deutschen Distrikte empfehlen dieses Projekt als gemeinsamen Beitrag der deutschen Rotarier zur Flutkatastrophe in Südostasien zu unterstützen.\n\nIch danke für Ihr Interesse und den gemeinsamen Wunsch für die Bevölkerung von Sri Lanka mit dem Wiederaufbau der Geburtshilfeklinik ein dauerhaften Beitrag zu leisten.\n\nHerzlichen Dank! \r\n \r\nIhre Kerstin Jeska-Zimmermann Neue Baupläne verfügbar Aufgrund der neuen Grundstückssituation mussten die Baupläne für das Babyhospital in Galle geändert und angepasst werden.
