Anadrol is chemically known as Oxymetholone. It is a synthetic anabolic steroid developed by Syntex in 1960. Unlike its several other counterparts in the anabolic steroid industry, Anadrol is not injected. The best benefit of Anadrol is that it works together with other treatment drugs that are often used to treat anemia. However, the drug should be taken with the precautions and proper guidance from expert physicians. If used carelessly, the drug can cause serious problems.
Anadrol should not be used by the patients who are suffering from carcinoma of the prostate or breast, which is seen in the males. It should not be used by the females who are suffering from hypercalcemia with carcinoma of the breast. It should also not be used by the women who are or wishing to be pregnant, the people suffering with nephrosis or the nephritic phase of nephritis, and the people with hypersensitivity to the drug or with severe hepatic dysfunction.
Some side effects of Anadrol are seen in the first stages of its use. These side effects include � Peliosis hepatis, it is a condition where persons taking the androgenic anabolic steroid therapy face liver related disfunctioning, which can even lead to liver damage. Liver cell tumors have also been reported in some cases, Blood lipid changes also occur, and Edema is another problem related with this drug.
So, next time you plan to use Anadrol for the treatment of anemia, consult your doctor first. Please note that Anadrol is the only oral anabolic steroid which has been approved by the FDA in the United States, but this drug is available only thru a prescription by an experienced doctor.
