O nama Psihijatrijska Bolnica LOPAČA je specijalna bolnica čiji je osnivač Grad Rijeka namijenjena za liječenje duševnih bolesti i poremećaja te rehabilitaciju oboljelih. Bolnica se nalazi u zaleđu Rijeke, niti desetak km od centra grada, u području zelenog pojasa nekoliko desetaka tisuća m2 prostora koji potpada pod samu bolnicu.\n\nNažalost ne postoji mogućnost dolaska autobusnom linijom do nas a u najskorije vrijeme uspostavlja se gradska linija koja će voziti direktno u bolnicu, povezujući je sa gradom.
To će, zahvaljujući našem osnivaču, omogućiti kako našim bolesnicima tako i njihovim obiteljima lakšu komunikaciju i povezanost, a time i lakšu resocijalizaciju, a samoj bolnici da postane u potpunosti gradska ustanova, sada eto povezana i javnim gradskim prijevozom. Bolnica se prostorno sastoji od nekoliko paviljona, unutar kojih se nalaze odjeli, povezanih međusobno bolničkim parkom.\n\nU bolnici se liječenje oduvijek provodi u kompleksu sociodinamske terapije gdje se naglasak daje na produljenom liječenju kroničnih duševnih bolesnika i njihovoj rehabilitaciji koja se provodi kroz organiziranu okupacionu terapiju te grupnu i socioterapiju.\n\n U bolnici se obavlja sistemska terapija gerontopsihijatrijskih bolesnika kao i terapija odraslih i adolescenata s psihičkim smetnjama. U bolnici djeluje i KLA, koji je jedan od prvih tako osnovanih na ovom području.
U sklopu gerontopsihijatrijske službe obavljaju se usluge psihoterapije sa članovima obitelji gerontopsihijatrijskih bolesnika te pomoć u rješavanju kriznih situacija u obitelji.\n\nPsihijatrijska se djelatnost u bolnici provodi od 1967. godine kada se u ondašnji Zavod za socijalno zdravstvenu zaštitu počinju primati prvi psihički bolesnici iz područja cijele Hrvatske. Zavod je osnovan da bi pružio smještaj i njegu kroničnim duševnim bolesnicima kod kojih nije moguće provoditi rehabilitaciju.\n\nPrvi štićenici primljeni su iz duševnih bolnica Vrapče, Jankomira i Popovače, a zatim iz drugih sličnih bolnica s područja Hrvatske.
